When asked about their showering habits, morning shower fans often say it helps them wake up and feel alert. One person mentioned, “A morning shower definitely helps me shake off sleep.” Another noted that waiting until evening would leave them too awake to fall asleep.

Conversely, evening shower enthusiasts focus more on cleanliness. One user responded playfully with a vomiting emoji, expressing disbelief at the idea of skipping a shower before bed. For others, like cleaning expert Anita Birges, both morning and evening showers are essential. She finds a morning shower refreshing but enjoys an evening rinse to feel clean when hopping into bed. On weekends, she sometimes skips the morning shower for a little extra sleep.

Dr. Hiscutt emphasizes flexibility. “The best routine is what fits your lifestyle and makes you feel good,” she said. For most, one shower a day is sufficient, but additional showers might be necessary after exercise or on hot days.

Interestingly, a survey in the UK found that 75% of respondents felt more awake after a morning shower. This aligns with the opinions of many Australians, showing a shared belief in the revitalizing power of morning hygiene.
