Austin Peay State University Sets New Record with .6 Million Fundraising Success in Fiscal Year 2025 – Clarksville’s Go-To Source for News and Events

Austin Peay State University (APSU) achieved remarkable success in its fundraising efforts, receiving 6,970 gifts from a record 2,762 donors, totaling over $15.6 million in the 2025 fiscal year. This marks a 10.6% increase in donors and a 16.2% rise in gifts compared to the previous year. Such numbers highlight a growing commitment from alumni and community supporters.

APSU President Mike Licari emphasized the importance of this support. He noted that as the university approaches its centennial in 2027, each contribution strengthens its ability to provide quality education for students.

The university saw significant growth in new endowments. In just a year, $2.1 million was dedicated to creating 29 new endowments. Noteworthy examples include the APSU College of Business Alumni Endowment, which benefits students in business programs, and the Music Heals: Henry Rives Memorial Endowed Scholarship, aimed at music therapy students. Since 2019, APSU has established 121 endowments, raising over $19 million to enhance the student experience.

Partnerships with local businesses are also flourishing. For instance, the collaboration with Coleman Tractor allows agriculture students hands-on experience with advanced equipment, showcasing how business partnerships can elevate education.

During the ninth annual online giving event, Govs Give 2025, alumni contributed a record 1,588 gifts. Additionally, the SHAPE Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign saw a 40% participation rate, the highest in APSU’s history.

APSU’s unique approach to fundraising includes GOVing Tuesday, which funds projects that enhance student success. This year, all 13 proposed campus initiatives received full funding.

Overall, the results reflect a deepening relationship between APSU and its supporters, ensuring the institution can continue to thrive as it heads toward its next century.
