The Pima County Sheriff’s Department believes Nancy did not leave her home by choice. Sheriff Chris Nanos stated, “She did not leave on her own. We know that.” Investigators have moved from a missing person case to a criminal investigation, citing a “crime scene” with suspicious circumstances at her residence.
Sheriff Nanos emphasized Nancy’s limited mobility, reinforcing that she could not have wandered off easily. She is generally in good health, which makes her sudden disappearance even more alarming. “This isn’t somebody that just wandered off,” he reiterated.
