HAGEN, Germany – The Baylor men’s basketball team, representing Team USA at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, kicked off their tournament in style. They dominated Team India with a convincing 111-52 win.

Six players reached double figures, showcasing the team’s depth. Team USA shot a solid 55% from the field, converted 29 points off turnovers, and grabbed 24 second-chance points. Every player got court time, and the bench contributed 48 points total.

Isaac Williams IV led with 18 points, shooting an impressive 67%. Dan Skillings Jr. shone brightly, going eight-for-eight for 17 points. Obi Agbim followed closely with 16 points, 12 from three-point range. Freshman Andre Iguodala II marked his debut with 13 points and five rebounds, while veteran JJ White also scored 13 points, adding six rebounds and six assists.

Samson Aletan, a Yale basketball player, pulled down a team-high of 10 rebounds and added six points. Waco-native Caden Powell chipped in with eight rebounds and five points.

Team USA came out strong, limiting India to just 12 points in the first quarter. India struggled, scoring only four points in the first five minutes of play. Skillings was on fire, netting 13 points in the first quarter, including a spectacular dunk.

At halftime, the USA led by nearly 40 points, 64-26, thanks to another 32-point quarter. Cameron Carr not only contributed offensively but led the team with five steals.

After halftime, Team USA continued their onslaught, scoring 30 points in the third quarter while restricting India to just 11. Drew Perry’s three-pointer in the fourth quarter pushed the team past 100 points.
