CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s golf team is gearing up for the Oregon Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club. The tournament kicks off Monday with two rounds starting at 8:30 a.m. PT, continuing with the final round Tuesday at the same time.
Cincinnati’s players include Ryan Ford, Leo Wessel, Brayden Miller, Connor McNeely, and Connor Cassano, while Rylan Wotherspoon will compete as an individual.
This tournament is the Bearcats’ third event this spring, leading up to the Big 12 Championship from April 27-29 in Hutchinson, Kansas. In their five fall tournaments, Cincinnati consistently performed well, landing in the top five in four of them and winning the Bearcat Invitational.

This year marks the 27th Duck Invitational, which has been held since 1998. Interestingly, this will be Cincinnati’s first appearance in the event. Last year, the Oregon team emerged victorious with an impressive score of 8-under-par.
The Eugene Country Club, established in 1899, features a challenging 6,997-yard, par-71 course. Its design, influenced by H.C. Egan and later renovated by renowned architects, is framed by majestic Douglas fir trees that challenge golfers’ skills and strategies.

This season, Ryan Ford has been a standout, averaging 69.75 strokes and achieving four top-10 finishes. Leo Wessel closely follows with a 70.95 average. Both have demonstrated strong performances, with Ford achieving 13 rounds under par out of 20.
PGA Tour Rankings
Recently, Ford climbed to 45th in the PGA TOUR University rankings. This ranking evaluates collegiate players over their last two years, using NCAA Division I competitions and select professional events. The top 25 players at the end of the cycle will earn opportunities on the PGA TOUR, creating a pathway for aspiring pros.
