In a recent chat, Alan Ritchson, the star of the hit series Reacher, shared an interesting behind-the-scenes moment from filming. During a challenging fight scene in season 3, he got punched for real by Olivier Richters, who plays Paulie. This season, Ritchson’s character, Jack Reacher, dives into the dangerous world of organized crime, facing off against Paulie, a formidable enforcer.
Ritchson detailed how the fight scenes were more intense this time around. It even took three weeks to shoot one particular battle. He appreciated Richters’ dedication, noting that he trained hard for four months before stepping onto the set.
“I accidentally took a punch once, and it hit me hard. I thought, ‘I definitely wouldn’t want to fight this guy for real!’ He’s tough and really went all out for the ‘Reacher’ world. Fans will see fights they’ve never seen before. In the book ‘Persuader,’ it feels like Reacher is in real danger, and we’ve worked hard to bring that intensity to the screen.”
Season 2 of Reacher had mixed reviews, with some viewers wanting more grit and solo action from Reacher. Season 3 promises to deliver exactly that. It appears the creators focused on making the action scenes sharper and more exciting, featuring Reacher as a lone wolf once again.
The anticipation for the big showdown between Reacher and Paulie is building. Fans are eager to see how Ritchson’s character will tackle this new, massive opponent. Instead of relying solely on his brawn, Reacher may have to outsmart Paulie, which could lead to nail-biting moments.
Initial reviews of season 3 are looking promising, and many hope it will surpass the previous seasons. With fresh action sequences and engaging character dynamics, it seems like fans have a lot to look forward to.
