This status comes after her successful Cowboy Carter tour, which earned over $400 million in ticket sales and an extra $50 million from merchandise. Her previous Renaissance world tour also brought in around $579 million.
Jay-Z, her husband, was the first musician to hit billionaire status on Forbes’s list back in 2019. Other artists like Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift have followed suit.
While Beyoncé has diverse ventures—like a hair care brand called Cécred, a whiskey label named SirDavis, and the clothing line Ivy Park—most of her wealth stems from her music career. This includes income from her extensive catalog and worldwide concert tours. In 2010, she founded Parkwood Entertainment, giving her control over her artistic output, from music to documentaries.
Her latest album, Cowboy Carter, won her a Grammy for Album of the Year. Following its release, the tour became the highest-grossing music tour of 2025, featuring guest appearances from her family and former Destiny’s Child bandmates.
Forbes notes that there’s no business quite like selling out stadiums in the entertainment industry. The Cowboy Carter tour employed 350 crew members and required eight cargo planes and 100 semi-trucks for logistics.
Beyoncé’s rise to fame started with Destiny’s Child in the 1990s. Today, she holds the record for the most Grammy nominations and awards. In addition to her music, she reportedly earned $50 million for her halftime performance at the NFL’s 2024 “Beyoncé Bowl,” along with $10 million from commercial endorsements, like with Levi’s.
Interestingly, as of 2025, there are over 3,000 billionaires worldwide, according to Forbes.
