Shares of Bharat Dynamics Ltd increased by 1.5% on December 2 after the company secured new orders worth ₹2,461.62 crore from the Indian Army since November 13.
The latest orders include Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) and Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs). The ATGM delivery will span 42 months, while SAMs will be delivered within 12 months. The company revealed the deal’s total value but kept certain contract details private for national security reasons.
In November, Bharat Dynamics also signed a ₹2,095.70 crore contract with the Ministry of Defence to supply Invar anti-tank missiles to the army.
For the second quarter, Bharat Dynamics reported a staggering 76.18% boost in net profit, reaching ₹215.88 crore, with total sales more than doubling to ₹1,147.02 crore compared to last year.
On the previous trading day, stocks closed at ₹1,529.50, reflecting a rise of ₹15.55, or about 1.03%. However, by noon, shares dipped slightly, trading at ₹1,528.70.
