Bengaluru’s AI startup, Ask My Guru (AMG), has recently attracted a $500,000 investment from Bharat Matrimony, part of the Matrimony.com Group. This funding adds to AMG’s earlier $1.2 million seed round, bringing its total to $1.72 million.
The investment will help AMG enhance its AI-driven Vedic astrology services and integrate more closely with Bharat Matrimony’s platform. Founded by Krishna Mohan Vedula and Vivek Sadamate, AMG uses AI to offer astrology-based matchmaking solutions. They provide compatibility assessments, astrological insights, and guidance on relationships and life choices. Since launching in June 2025, the platform has gained over 400,000 users and facilitated 5 million chat interactions.
With this collaboration, AMG can reach Bharat Matrimony’s vast user base of about 40 million through its web and mobile channels, as well as more than 130 retail outlets. They also aim to expand into the U.S. market.
This partnership is significant as it combines traditional astrology with cutting-edge technology, creating scalable solutions for matchmaking.
According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, 30% of adults in the U.S. believe in astrology, indicating a growing interest in personalized and culturally relevant approaches to relationships.
By leveraging these insights and technology, AMG is setting a new standard in the matchmaking landscape, appealing to a modern audience while honoring traditional beliefs.
