Bharti Singh Stands by Samay Raina: ‘Gen Z’s Favorite’ Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy – Here’s Why He Never Forces You to Speak!

Samay Raina is at the center of a controversy after a comment made by Ranveer Allahbadia on his show, India’s Got Latent. This remark led to backlash, resulting in several FIRs filed against Samay, the show’s team, and the podcaster. In the midst of this, comedian Bharti Singh has come to Samay’s defense.

In a recent video shared by an Instagram user, Bharti expressed her support for Samay. She mentioned that the nature of the show doesn’t mean participants have to speak in a certain way. According to her, “Samay thodi kehta hai, ‘Arey, muh kholo, bolo!’” which translates to “Samay doesn’t force anyone to speak.” She highlighted his talent, saying, “Woh bohot accha ladka hai” (He is a very good guy) and that he is popular among Gen-Z. Bharti believes that anyone who joins his show will likely leave as a fan.

She continued, addressing the criticism about Samay’s language: “Agar uski language jo use karta hai woh pasand nahi hai, toh millions hai aur hum hi hai jo Samay Raina lagate hai aur dekhte hain,” indicating that many still enjoy his content despite the backlash.

Bharti and her husband, Harssh Limbachiyaa, were guests on India’s Got Latent last year. Their episode gained attention on social media, with some feeling that Harssh stole the spotlight from Samay. While Bharti defended Samay, other celebrities like Raftaar and Aly Goni also showed their support. In contrast, figures such as Mika Singh and Imtiaz Ali criticized both Samay and Ranveer for the show’s crude humor.

The controversy heated up when Ranveer posed a provocative question to a contestant: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?” This question went viral, inciting outrage online. Though Ranveer later apologized, the damage was done, leading to FIRs against him, Samay, and others involved in the show.

Feeling overwhelmed, Samay shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter): “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
