March has begun, and the coaching changes in college basketball are happening fast. We’ve already seen three coaches hired in just the first week!
Here’s a quick look at the new hires:
- Miami has hired Jai Lucas from Duke as their new head coach.
- Utah’s Alex Jensen is leaving the Mavericks to return to his alma mater.
- Florida State is looking at Luke Loucks, a former player, for their head coach position.
There’s a lot more to come. Recently, NC State fired Kevin Keatts; read more about that in our latest update.
Another update: Steve Prohm is out at Murray State after a three-year tenure, and Russell Springmann was let go after just two seasons at Oral Roberts.
This article will be your go-to source for keeping up with the coaching changes in men’s college basketball. Expect many updates over the next month as the coaching carousel spins. We anticipate at least 40 to 50 moves this cycle, although it likely won’t reach the record-setting 68 changes from last year.
As of now, 15 jobs are already in flux, and that number will rise quickly. So, stay tuned for more updates and news surrounding college hoops!
