Billy Joel has postponed eight upcoming concerts due to a “medical condition.” He emphasized that his health must come first. In a statement, Joel shared that he expects to make a full recovery after having surgery and that he will participate in physical therapy under medical supervision.
While he regrets putting off any shows, Joel is looking forward to returning to the stage. His tour will resume on July 5 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, after all concerts through late June have been rescheduled, many to 2026.
Joel’s last performance was on February 22 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, where he experienced a fall on stage during the encore. Thankfully, he quickly recovered and continued the show. It’s unclear if his recent surgery is related to that incident.
The concert originally set for this Saturday in Toronto has been moved to March 14, 2026. Other rescheduled dates include:
- November 15, 2025 – Detroit, Ford Field
- April 10, 2026 – Syracuse, Syracuse JMA Wireless Dome
- May 22, 2026 – Salt Lake City, Rice Eccles Stadium
- June 6, 2026 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium
- June 20, 2026 – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium
- July 3, 2026 – Charlotte, Charlotte Bank of America Stadium
- TBD – Milwaukee, American Family Field
Tickets for the rescheduled shows will remain valid. After his July 5 show, Joel is also expected to perform at other venues throughout the summer and fall, including a concert at Yankee Stadium and appearances in Washington, D.C., Cincinnati, and New Orleans.
