Billy Ray Cyrus Faces Challenges During His Unforgettable and Quirky Inauguration Performance

Billy Ray Cyrus had quite a challenging night during his performance at the Liberty Ball, which celebrated President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Without a band and facing technical issues, Cyrus struggled through his set. He began by playing along to the video of Lil Nas X’s hit song, “Old Town Road.” As the video played, he strummed his guitar and sang, trying to rally the crowd’s energy.

Once the video ended, Cyrus continued to play the song, whistling and even trying out an a cappella version. He encouraged the audience to clap and sing along, humorously asking, “If you encourage me I’ll keep going. They told me to kill as much time as possible.”

He then turned to the tech crew, asking, “Is anybody awake? Where’s everybody at?” After admitting he couldn’t get his guitar to work, he mentioned that earlier in the day, Carrie Underwood faced similar problems. Her performance of “America The Beautiful” had to be done a cappella when the orchestral track cut out.

Cyrus complimented Underwood, saying, “Wasn’t Carrie Underwood fabulous? They had technical difficulties too. And in life, when you have technical difficulties, you just gotta keep going. Or as President Trump would say, ‘You gotta fight!’” Feeling inspired, he broke into an a cappella rendition of his own hit, “Achy Breaky Heart.”

Despite the hurdles, Cyrus kept the show going, transforming a tough performance into a memorable one.
