Blake Lively has exciting news! Her next movie is titled “Another Simple Favor” and will premiere at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, next month.
This film is a sequel to her 2018 hit “A Simple Favor.” It reunites Lively with her co-star Anna Kendrick and director Paul Feig, known for comedies like “Bridesmaids.” In this thriller-comedy, Kendrick’s character, Stephanie, and Lively’s character, Emily, travel to the stunning island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.
But don’t expect this wedding to be typical! Along with glamorous guests, the storyline promises twists filled with murder and betrayal, making it a wedding to remember.
The cast also features notable names like Andrew Rannells, Elizabeth Perkins, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney.
This news comes at a busy time for Lively. She is involved in legal issues related to her recent film “It Ends With Us,” based on Colleen Hoover’s novel. In December, Lively alleged that her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, bullied her on set. Following her complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, she filed a civil lawsuit.
Baldoni has denied these accusations and has filed his own lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, claiming defamation and extortion. A hearing on the matter took place recently, with a trial scheduled for spring 2026.
