Blake Lively vs. Anna Kendrick: Unveiling the Thrills in the ‘Another Simple Favor’ Trailer!

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are back together in Italy in the teaser for Another Simple Favor. This film, directed by Paul Feig, continues the story from the 2018 hit A Simple Favor. It will stream on Prime Video starting May 1.

The movie also features a talented cast, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Michele Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, and Allison Janney. This sequel is a joint effort by Amazon, MGM Studios, and Lionsgate.

Another Simple Favor will debut on March 7 at the South by Southwest festival. The plot revolves around Stephanie (played by Kendrick) and Emily (played by Lively) traveling to Capri for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. However, things take a dark turn filled with murder and betrayal.

In the trailer, Lively confronts Kendrick, teasing about revenge and the past. Kendrick fires back with uncertainty, heightening the tension between the characters.

Feig directed the film using a script by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis. Sharzer also penned the original screenplay, which was based on Darcey Bell’s 2017 novel.

Lively’s latest film before this was It Ends With Us, which became a box office success, bringing in over $350 million worldwide. However, it has faced some controversy due to ongoing legal disputes involving Lively and co-star Justin Baldoni.

Feig has shown his support for Lively on social media, emphasizing their positive working relationship. He called her a joy to collaborate with and expressed his admiration for her talent.

The first movie, A Simple Favor, released in September 2018, was a commercial success, earning $53 million domestically and about $97 million worldwide. Critics praised the chemistry between Kendrick and Lively, noting how effortlessly Feig guided them through the film’s twists.
