Blues Enhance Springfield Roster with Five New Players: Key Moves You Need to Know!

St. Louis Blues President Doug Armstrong recently shared that the team has assigned five players to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. The players include forwards Dalibor Dvorsky, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki, and Otto Stenberg, along with defensemen Theo Lindstein and Leo Loof.

The Blues are gearing up for the start of the 2025-26 season. They’ll kick things off against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Center. Fans attending the game will receive a special 2025-26 Blues wall calendar, thanks to Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers.

Before the game, there will be an Opening Night Rally from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Union Station. This lively event will feature appearances by Blues broadcasters Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale, along with the team’s mascot, Louie. Fans can enjoy fun activities, including inflatables and a 50/50 raffle. Partners like 101 ESPN and Anheuser-Busch will also be present, offering giveaways and unique experiences. The rally is free and welcomes fans of all ages.

This season is especially significant as the NHL continues to grow its fan base. Recent data shows that hockey viewership is up 25% over the past few years, largely due to the league’s increased visibility on social media and partnerships with streaming platforms. Engaging events like the Blues’ Opening Night Rally not only promote interest in the team but also enhance community spirit.

For those interested in attending the opening night, tickets are available on the Blues’ official website here.
