BO6 & Warzone February 21 Update: Exciting Mountaineer Perk and Key Weapon Tweaks Revealed!

Raven Software and Treyarch quickly addressed the problems that came with Season 2 Reloaded by releasing a small patch.

Content creators for BO6 and Warzone took a closer look at the weapon changes after the update. Some improvements promised in the patch didn’t appear in the game. For instance, the Cypher 091’s maximum damage range was supposed to increase, but players couldn’t see any difference.

The developers looked into this issue and made the necessary adjustments in this update. Additionally, JGOD pointed out back in November that the Mountaineer perk only increased fall height by 15%, not the 100% as intended.

Now, the Mountaineer perk has been returned to its original form. Players have also praised the Bullet map as fantastic, and with this patch, it finally has a 24/7 playlist. Let’s check out more of the changes.

Black Ops 6

Weapons: Multiplayer and Zombies

  • Fixed issues where weapon tuning changes from Season 02 Reloaded weren’t working as expected.
    • Changes for the following weapons are now active:
      • GPR 91
        • Fire Rate increased from 8% to 12%.
      • Feng 82
      • SWAT 5.56
      • Tsarkov 7.62
      • AEK-973 Full Auto Attachment
      • Sniper Rifle Fast Mag Attachment
    • One issue for the Under Barrel Crossbow Attachment is still being worked out:
      • Recent adjustments include:
        • Increased ADS zoom level.
        • Improved projectile speed and reduced vertical speed for better shot accuracy.
    • Further updates for the Under Barrel Crossbow include:
      • Extra ammo count by 1 in a future update.

Ranked Play

  • Fixed issues with Ranked Play SR awards, which didn’t work properly at the launch of Season 02 Reloaded (corrected on Feb. 20).
    • Players impacted during this time are being looked at for solutions. More information will be posted on our Trello board.

UI (Multiplayer and Zombies)

  • The Challenge Tracker is back in both Main and Pause Menus for Multiplayer and Zombies.

Stability

  • Fixed a bug where some players got stuck on the Fetching Online Profile screen.

General Playlist Updates

  • Added Bullet 24/7 to Featured Playlists.

Ranked Play (MP)

  • Vote to Forfeit feature updated:
    • Changed vote acceptance from tapping to holding.

Zombies

Maps

  • Citadelle des Morts
    • Rolled back the change that blocked Oil Trap kills from being counted as critical kills.

Stability

  • Fixed a crash issue when players paused a Zombies game (resolved on Feb. 20).

Warzone

    • The Mountaineer Perk is now properly available for players to use in Custom Loadouts.

Bug Fixes

Ranked Play

  • Resolved an issue where Experimental Gas grenades appeared in loot, although they remain banned in Ranked Play.
  • Fixed the issue with Ranked Play SR not being granted or adjusted as it should have been right after Season 02 Reloaded launched.
    • We are currently finding a way to make things right for those affected during this time. Updates will follow.

Perks

  • Corrected the issue preventing the Mountaineer Perk from being properly equipped.

Stability

  • Fixed a problem where players got stuck on the Fetching Online Profile screen.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue causing players to lose functionality after picking a Loadout from a Loadout Drop.
