Boost Your Academic Profile: How to Highlight Your Peer Review Contributions on Web of Science

Cochrane has teamed up with Clarivate to let peer reviewers showcase their reviews on the Web of Science platform. This is great news for those involved in Cochrane reviews.

The Web of Science helps track contributions in scientific journals. With the new Reviewer Recognition Service, peer reviewers can easily document and display their efforts.

Colleen Ovelman, Cochrane’s Head of Editorial, expressed gratitude for the dedication of peer reviewers, Associate Editors, and Senior Editors. She noted that their hard work is now recognized on their Web of Science profiles.

Starting January 15, 2025, all peer reviewers working on Cochrane reviews can feature their contributions. Unfortunately, earlier contributions cannot be recognized this way.

What Do Peer Reviewers Need to Know?

If you already have a Web of Science profile, you don’t need to create a new one. For those without a profile, you can easily sign up for free on their website.

To ensure your contributions show up on your profile, simply answer ‘Yes’ when asked if you want recognition for your review feedback in Editorial Manager. Your contribution will be automatically sent to your Web of Science profile and should appear there within 48 hours.

Remember, your peer review contributions also count towards your Cochrane Membership. You can track what you’ve done in your Cochrane Account.
