BOYCE, La. – St. Mary’s Residential and Community Services is excited to enhance heart health care by adding a new EKG machine to their facility. This upgrade will make it easier for residents to get heart checks right on campus, ensuring they don’t miss important routine care.

The new EKG machine aligns with St. Mary’s goal of proactive healthcare. It helps spot potential issues early, reducing the risk of emergencies. Now, residents can receive regular EKG tests without the stress of traveling off-site, which can be both overwhelming and inconvenient.
Bonita Walker, the Health Care Services Director at St. Mary’s, highlighted the benefits of this addition. “We have around 80 clients who need routine EKGs. Before, we had to send them to other facilities, which was stressful for them and challenging for us. Now, doing EKGs right here is a huge help. It allows us to provide care in a more comfortable setting,” she said.
St. Mary’s Residential and Community Services is committed to the health and well-being of its residents, ensuring they receive the best care possible.
