The goal is to provide patients with advanced diagnostics right in their communities. This means quicker appointments, faster imaging results, and more convenience in getting timely care. It’s one of the biggest partnerships for GE HealthCare, highlighting its commitment to supporting healthcare providers.

For Sutter Health, this alliance brings the latest technology and services directly to them. It focuses on improved access to care, a better patient experience, and consistent quality of service, no matter where patients receive treatment. Key areas of collaboration include optimized technology and seamless service delivery at specialized care centers.

Warner Thomas, president and CEO of Sutter Health, expressed that this partnership responds to doctors’ feedback. It aims to enhance care delivery and expand patient access, ensuring coordinated care across the network.

One of the main aspects of the Care Alliance is boosting technology within Sutter Health. This includes advanced AI-powered imaging techniques, such as PET/CT, SPECT/CT, MRI, and ultrasound. GE HealthCare’s various solutions will be integrated into outpatient settings, catering to the increasing demand for care beyond traditional hospitals.

Catherine Estrampes, CEO of GE HealthCare in the U.S. and Canada, emphasized their commitment to understanding Sutter’s needs. Together, they designed a program that brings the right technology to the right place, supporting clinicians and enhancing patient outcomes.

Over the next few years, digital and AI-driven imaging solutions will be rolled out across the Sutter Health system. This includes state-of-the-art equipment like the Omni Legend PET/CT and various ultrasound systems. By improving image quality and reducing scan times with technologies like AIR™ Recon DL, patients can expect a more comfortable experience while getting high-quality care.

The partnership also aligns with Sutter Health’s broader mission to increase access to care, including plans for new health facilities in Northern California. Investments in advanced services like heart care, cancer treatment, and neuroscience are key components of this strategy.

New technology will enhance clinical procedures, offering precise care from early screenings to ongoing treatment. Sutter Health is planning exciting new projects, including a cancer center and flagship campuses in Silicon Valley.

To keep up with technological advancements, Sutter Health will adopt an accelerated upgrade schedule, ensuring that equipment and software are always current. This proactive approach aims to maintain patient safety and service reliability.

Additionally, there will be a focus on workforce development. GE HealthCare will assist in creating training programs for healthcare professionals, aimed at addressing the clinician shortage and supporting long-term staffing needs.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in bringing cutting-edge care closer to patients, enhancing the quality of healthcare in the community.
