Borderlands 4 PC Minimum Specs Revealed: Are Your Specs Ready for This Stunning Adventure?

Before the preorders for Borderlands 4 officially kicked off, many fans were buzzing about the price. However, a more pressing question was about the game’s system requirements. Gearbox shared the PC specs, and while they might seem daunting, they could be more forgiving than expected.

The specs were posted on Borderlands 4’s Steam page and here’s a breakdown:

Recommended Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
  • Additional: 64-bit processor, 8+ CPU cores, 12+ GB VRAM, SSD storage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
  • Additional: 64-bit processor, 8 CPU cores, 8 GB VRAM, SSD storage.

While the storage and 64-bit processor are firm requirements, the CPU and graphics cards might have some flexibility. According to PC Gamer, the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, one of the minimum requirements, doesn’t support ray tracing. This hints that ray tracing capabilities may not be essential to enjoy the game fully. Similarly, the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X might run the game smoothly, even though it’s not officially listed.

In addition to system requirements, Gearbox unveiled post-launch plans for Borderlands 4. Players eager for new content will need the $130 Super Deluxe Edition for access to new Vault Hunters and additional storylines. There are also Bounty Packs that promise fresh areas and exciting boss fights. It’s unclear if these content additions will be offered separately.

Borderlands 4 is set to launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 on September 12. As excitement builds, it’s clear that both the community’s enthusiasm and Gearbox’s plans could make this release memorable.
