BOULDER — The Boulder Community Health Foundation has wrapped up its impressive $22 million Centennial Campaign. This initiative marks an important chapter as Boulder Community Health celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Grant Besser, president of the BCH Foundation, highlighted that this campaign is more than just fundraising. “It’s an investment in our community’s health and well-being,” he stated. “It shows the trust the community has in us to lead with integrity and compassion.”
The Centennial Campaign focused on three key areas:
- Our Community: Expanding access to healthcare and promoting health equity.
- Our Patients: Improving patient-centered care to enhance service quality.
- Our Workforce: Supporting the growth and well-being of BCH staff and physicians.
From 2022 to 2024, the campaign will funnel over $10.2 million into BCH priorities, with another $4 million set aside for 2025.
Dr. Robert Vissers, president & CEO of Boulder Community Health, emphasized the significance of this support. “The foundation and our community’s generosity are vital for our future,” he said. “This support allows us to expand services and innovate healthcare across Boulder Valley.”
This kind of investment in healthcare is crucial, especially as communities face increasing health challenges. Recent studies show that access to quality healthcare significantly improves overall community health outcomes. For example, a report from the American Hospital Association reveals that expanding healthcare access could lower the rate of preventable diseases by up to 30%, highlighting the long-term benefits of initiatives like the Centennial Campaign.
