Bowie State Golf Team at CIAA Northern Division Tournament
The Bowie State golf team participated in the CIAA Northern Division Tournament, held at Bluefield State. They finished ninth overall after three rounds of golf.
Over the event, which included 54 holes, the team played 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on the second. The Bulldogs showed steady improvement, especially during their second round.
Player Highlights
Peter Tumusiime led Bowie State with a total score of 233 (+23), with rounds of 82, 74, and 77. Jordan Brown followed with a total of 245 (+35) from rounds of 88, 73, and 84. Cruz Medrano finished with 269 (+59) after rounds of 94, 85, and 90. Jonathan Fletcher recorded scores of 91, 87, and 100 for a total of 278 (+68). Lastly, Zachery Alford rounded out the team with scores of 95, 95, and 98, ending at 288 (+78).
On the women’s side, Whitley Shields participated as an individual, finishing with a total of 317 (+107) from rounds of 102, 107, and 108.

The Bulldogs are gearing up for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Golf Championships, set for April 13-14.
