Interestingly, “F1” is now Apple’s biggest opening weekend, surpassing “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The film is expected to do well internationally, riding the global popularity of Formula One racing. Apple invested heavily in this project, with a production budget over $200 million, hoping to establish itself as a significant player in the movie industry.

Disney and Pixar’s “Elio” is also in the mix, but its box office performance has been lackluster, setting a record for Pixar’s lowest opening weekend.
