Brandon Sklenar recently shared his thoughts on the legal drama involving his former co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. When asked by Gayle King if he supported one side over the other, he made it clear he’s “team It Ends With Us.” Sklenar wants to keep the focus on the film’s important message about relationships affected by domestic violence.

During his appearance on CBS Mornings, he emphasized the importance of the story, stating, “This movie means a lot to me. I’ve seen someone very close to me go through similar struggles as Lily, and I’m dedicated to helping her through it.” He expressed disappointment that the focus is shifting from the film’s core message to the unfolding legal issues.
When King jokingly asked if he was on “team Blake or team Justin,” Sklenar skillfully sidestepped the question, showing his commitment to keeping the conversation on the film instead of the controversy. You can catch the brief interaction in the full interview clip.
Previously, there were signs that Sklenar aligned more closely with Lively. Last December, after her serious claims against Baldoni, Sklenar posted a screenshot of the legal filing on Instagram, urging followers to “READ THIS” and tagging Lively with a heart emoji.
As the film’s release date approached, rumors circulated about tension between Lively and Baldoni. Sklenar publicly advocated for an end to the negativity directed at Lively, saying, “Condemning the women who poured their hearts into this film goes against what we stand for.”
Meanwhile, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, made their first public appearance at the SNL50: The Anniversary Special. Reynolds even joked about the media scrutiny, lightening the mood amid the surrounding chaos.
Support for Lively has poured in from many in the industry, advocating for women’s rights and safe workplaces. In contrast, Baldoni has faced backlash and recently filed a lawsuit against the New York Times over the publishing of the claims against him. Lively, in turn, has called this move a tactic of victim-blaming. As of now, Baldoni is seeking $400 million from Lively and Reynolds for defamation and more.
A trial is scheduled for March 29, 2026, in New York federal court. The situation continues to evolve as both sides prepare for what promises to be a significant legal battle.
