BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A man was shot and killed by Bexar County deputies after he fired at them during a domestic disturbance. This incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday in the 700 block of Tecumseh Drive.
According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, the woman involved called 911. She reported her estranged partner had broken into her home while her two young children were inside. When deputies arrived, the man drew a weapon and shot at them.
Two deputies were injured—one was hit in the hip, and the other in the hand. In response, both deputies fired back, striking the man, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Fortunately, the woman and her children escaped without injuries and are assisting investigators. Sheriff Salazar confirmed that no one else was harmed during the incident. The man had a history of criminal activity and outstanding warrants.
