The credibility of these reports remains unverified, and Ukraine’s military has not commented. In contrast, Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that their forces shot down 155 Ukrainian drones across 16 regions on the same night. They did not confirm if any drones hit their intended targets.
The Flamingo missile, created by Fire Point, has seen limited use until recently, with a notable uptick since late 2025. It carries a 1,000-kilogram warhead and has a range of about 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles), improving Ukraine’s long-range strike abilities significantly. President Volodymyr Zelensky referred to it as Ukraine’s “most successful missile,” suggesting that mass production could start by winter 2025-2026.
