Breaking News: Haryana Police Capture 29 Bangladeshi Nationals in Kalanaur – Key Details Inside!

Haryana Police recently detained 29 Bangladeshi citizens in Kalanaur for allegedly living and working in India without the proper documents. This action is part of a larger effort by authorities across Haryana, particularly following the arrest of a local YouTuber accused of spying for Pakistani agencies.

Reports suggest police had received multiple tips about undocumented Bangladeshi workers in various eateries and brick kilns. Among the detained individuals are men, women, and children who could not provide any identification. They reportedly entered India from West Bengal, often with the help of agents charging around ₹25,000 per person for their passage.

Many Bangladeshis come to India seeking better job opportunities. With higher wages available here compared to their home country, it’s no wonder they take such risks for employment.

Kalanaur Police Station in-charge, Satpal Singh, stated that the detained individuals would be housed at the Police Lines in Rohtak before being sent back to Bangladesh once all necessary procedures are completed.

This issue reflects a significant trend observed in the region. According to a study by the South Asia Migration Report, Bangladeshis have increasingly migrated to India for work, drawn by economic disparities. As of 2022, around 1.5 million Bangladeshi migrants were reported to be living in India, making it a crucial topic for both countries.

In social media discussions, the situation has sparked mixed reactions. Some express sympathy for those seeking a better life, while others emphasize the need for stricter border control. This ongoing dialogue highlights the complexities of migration and the balance between humanitarian concerns and national security.
