Javier Mascherano Steps Down as Inter Miami’s Head Coach

The 2025 season was remarkable, with a record 101 goals across all competitions, including a postseason high of 20 goals.
On the international stage, Inter Miami made waves at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, becoming the first MLS team to reach the knockout rounds. They also made history as the first Concacaf team to defeat a European club in an official match. Such milestones marked a significant shift in soccer dynamics for U.S. teams.

As Mascherano leaves, Guillermo Hoyos will take over as the new head coach. Hoyos has an extensive background, having played professionally for over 20 years and coached in several countries.
