Hayden Haynes, the chief of staff for House Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana, was arrested for drunk driving. This incident occurred after his car hit a Capitol vehicle soon after former President Donald Trump addressed Congress.

According to two law enforcement sources who spoke to NBC News, the collision happened around midnight. A police report shows that Haynes was arrested and later released with a court citation.

The arrest took place just hours after Trump’s speech, which Speaker Johnson presided over on the House floor.
