This upcoming race will mark the first time in over a decade that he’s missed a Cup Series event; a similar situation occurred in 2015 when he was sidelined for 11 races after a serious crash.
Austin Hill will step in to drive Busch’s car while he recovers. RCR emphasized that Busch’s health is their top priority. They expressed their full support for him and appreciated Hill’s willingness to take over.
