Breaking: Pope’s Health Update – Critical but Stable Condition | Vatican News

On Tuesday evening, the Holy See Press Office shared an update on Pope Francis’ health. They reported no acute respiratory episodes, and his vital signs remain steady. However, the overall prognosis is still cautious.

During the daily morning update, it was noted that the Pope had a restful night and is continuing his treatment. He had a scheduled CT scan to monitor the double pneumonia. Fortunately, he managed to resume his work activities after receiving the Eucharist.

This latest health report, published on February 25, 2025, is part of the ongoing updates that have been provided since the Pope was admitted to Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14. His admission followed a case of bronchitis, and he is being treated for double pneumonia as well.

The previous week’s update also pointed out that he is showing mild renal insufficiency, but doctors believe it is under control. Just the night before, there were signs of slight improvement. There were no episodes resembling asthma distress, and some lab tests indicated better results. While he continues to receive oxygen therapy, the flow and levels have been slightly reduced.

Doctors emphasize a careful watch on his health due to the complexity of his condition. The situation remains serious, and the medical team is proactive in monitoring his recovery.
