Brett McMurphy Reveals His Must-See College Football AP Top 25 Rankings After Week 4!

With four of my top ten teams not playing last week, there’s not much change in the rankings. But don’t worry—next week will shake things up with some exciting matchups, like Alabama visiting Georgia and Oregon taking on Penn State.

This week, I’m adding Indiana and TCU to my ballot. On the flip side, Auburn and Illinois dropped out. Here’s how my rankings look right now, though they might change as late games finish.

Starting with the Buckeyes, they had a week off and will kick off their Big Ten season against Washington. The Huskies will aim for a home victory over the defending champions, having beaten Michigan last year.

Georgia, also coming off a bye, faces Alabama this Saturday. Historically, the Bulldogs struggle against the Crimson Tide, winning just once in their last ten meetings in Athens since 2003.

LSU, ranked third, dominated Southeastern Louisiana with a 56-10 win. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had an impressive game, throwing for 273 yards and three touchdowns before halftime. LSU visits Ole Miss soon, and they’ll need to keep up that momentum.

Miami’s defense shined in their recent win against Florida, allowing the Gators less than 150 yards of offense. Running back Mark Fletcher led the charge with 116 rushing yards. They’ll have a week off before hitting the road to face Florida State on October 4.

The Ducks won the Civil War, thrashing Oregon State 41-7. Quarterback Dante Moore is on fire this season, throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns, making for a strong upcoming match against Penn State.

Florida State crushed Kent State 66-10, with quarterback Thomas Castallanos throwing for 205 yards and scoring one rushing touchdown in less than a half of play. They’ll face Virginia in their next matchup.

Texas A&M had a bye week and will host Auburn for their SEC opener this Saturday. Oklahoma’s defense showed its strength with a record 10 sacks against Auburn, winning 24-17. Quarterback John Mateer performed well, throwing for 271 yards and contributing a game-winning touchdown run.

The Nittany Lions had a week off and will host Oregon in a rematch of last year’s Big Ten championship game, which Oregon won 45-37.

Texas recorded a shutout against Sam Houston, winning 55-0. Quarterback Arch Manning threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, leading an offensive display that racked up over 600 yards total.
