A British couple, Craig and Lindsay Foreman, who was on a motorcycle tour around the world, has been detained in Iran, according to Britain’s foreign office. The couple is now facing serious concerns, as this news has raised alarms among their family and friends.
The latest message from the couple on social media was in early January. Recently, Iranian state media revealed that two British nationals were held on charges related to “security crimes.” Following these reports, the British foreign office confirmed the couple’s detention and released a statement from their family expressing their worry about their safety.
Craig and Lindsay, both in their mid-50s, were on an adventure that was supposed to lead them to Australia. Lindsay aimed to present a paper at a psychology conference there. The couple lives in Spain, where Lindsay works as a psychologist and life coach, while Craig is a carpenter.
The situation came to light when Iranian state media published a photograph of the British ambassador to Iran, Hugo Shorter, meeting with the detained couple. This unexpected development has left many anxious about their fate and well-being during this uncertain time.
