Broemmel and Viljoen Shine as They Claim Final Spots at SEC Indoor Championships – University of Missouri Athletics

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Missouri track and field team had an impressive day two at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Fasken Indoor Track & Field Complex.

Rahel Broemmel and Anneken Viljoen advanced to the women’s mile final. Broemmel achieved a personal best of 4:41.21, finishing fourth. Viljoen came in eighth with a time of 4:45.43.

Sam Innes led the men’s weight throw for the Tigers, securing fourth place with a throw of 22.15m (72-8). On the women’s side, Reagan Kimrey made history with the seventh-best throw in school records at 19.37m (63-6.75).

Emanuele Bellanova demonstrated his skills in the men’s heptathlon, finishing sixth overall and achieving personal bests in six of the seven events.

Tomorrow marks the final day of the SEC Indoor Championships. The Tigers will compete again at the Fasken Indoor Track & Field Complex. Events kick off at 2 p.m. with the women’s high jump.
