High Point, N.C. — Facing tough challenges often makes people give up. But that’s not the case for Noah Behrmann at High Point University.
Noah, a talented player, faced serious setbacks during his soccer journey. After suffering a fractured metatarsal, a broken fibula, and two torn ACLs at Clemson University, he didn’t let these injuries hold him back. He transferred to High Point in spring 2025, bringing with him resilience and a fresh perspective.
“It was tough,” Noah shared, “but I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned. The journey has shaped my view on life and soccer. I feel blessed to be here.”
His father, Chris Behrmann, also played for Clemson from 1993 to 1996, making Noah’s commitment even more meaningful. Though injuries kept him off the field, he was a supportive teammate, witnessing Clemson’s victory in the 2023 ACC and National Championship.
Now at High Point, Noah has become an integral player on the men’s soccer team, helping them secure two Big South Conference championships this season. This Sunday, he and the Panthers face West Virginia in the NCAA Tournament, aiming for their first Sweet Sixteen appearance.
“His story is incredible,” said head coach Zach Haines. “Most players would have quit. But Noah has come back stronger. To think he’s performing at such a high level after everything is remarkable.”
Noah has made a strong impact, starting in eight of 13 games and even scoring his first college goal during the Big South Championship. He shares this journey with his brother, Ryan Behrmann, who recently joined him at High Point after transferring from Army West Point.
“We’ve always wanted to play together,” Ryan said. “Being here with him is a blessing.”
Their journey back to being teammates has been filled with challenges but also immense joy. “I owe so much to this place,” Noah reflected. “Playing with my brother at this level is something most people don’t get to experience.”
Their story showcases the power of resilience and family. As they strive for success on the field, their bond serves as a reminder of what can be achieved through perseverance and support.
