With less than 30 seconds left in the game, junior Dylan Andrews nailed a crucial 3-pointer that sealed the deal for UCLA.
The Bruins entered halftime with a 4-point lead and maintained control throughout the second half. Notably, they played without their star player, Tyler Bilodeau, who suffered an ankle injury just three minutes into the game. His absence didn’t stop the team; other players stepped up to fill the gap.
Junior guard Skyy Clark ignited the game by scoring the first nine points for UCLA and finished the night with 12 points, including three 3-pointers. Sophomore center Aday Mara also shined, contributing 12 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks. Both Eric Dailey Jr. and senior Kobe Johnson added 11 points each, with Johnson grabbing nine rebounds and Dailey securing six.
Defensively, UCLA did a great job limiting Washington’s leading scorer, Great Osobor. He scored 16 points in the first half but managed only three in the second, thanks to the solid efforts of Dailey, Mara, and Johnson.
