The film has echoes of The Incredible Hulk, with Sam Wilson caught in a narrative that seems bigger than his own. Instead of exploring relationships and themes rooted in his own story, Sam feels more like a pawn in someone else’s game. He has a few interactions that highlight his character but lacks the depth that fans might expect.

Initial excitement fizzles toward the end, especially during a forced conclusion involving Ross’s transformation into Red Hulk. It feels like a contrived way to satisfy fans but doesn’t flow with the build-up of the story. Sam’s attempts to talk him down don’t resonate because Ross doesn’t convincingly show any signs of being the better person Sam believes he is.

In the end, Brave New World serves as a solid addition to the MCU, even if it is overshadowed by past entries.
