Captain America Director Clears the Air: What You Need to Know About Harrison Ford’s On-Set Behavior

Captain America: Brave New World opened on February 14, marking several exciting milestones for Marvel films.

This film features Anthony Mackie’s first full appearance as Captain America. Additionally, it introduces Harrison Ford into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thaddeus Ross, also known as the Red Hulk. Fans were thrilled when Ford joined the cast, bringing attention and star power to the project.

However, there were some bumps along the way. A report from Vulture suggested that Ford had difficulties with the motion capture needed to play his Hulk character. A crew member described him as “very much a diva,” raising eyebrows about his experience on set.

Director Julius Onah, however, offered a different perspective on working with Ford. In an interview with Variety, Onah praised Ford, stating, “He was an utter professional. He is incredibly serious and passionate about the work.” This indicates that while challenges may exist, the collaborative spirit on set remained strong.

Onah expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside such a seasoned actor. “I learned so much from him,” Onah said. He noted that both the cast and crew held Ford in high regard, highlighting a positive experience during filming despite any reported tension.

Ford took over the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross after the passing of William Hurt, who was beloved for his portrayal since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. With Ford’s entrance into the MCU, fans are eager to see how this character develops in future stories.
