Q: Have you imagined what it would feel like if the Mets reached the World Series?
A: Absolutely! It’s an exciting thought. I felt the buzz last year, but just thinking about how amazing it would be for New York, especially Queens, is incredible — winning it all would be even better.

A: Yes, definitely. That’s the aim.

A: Without a doubt! I felt the same way last year.
Q: How exciting will it be to have Juan Soto at Citi Field?
A: It’ll be electric! Last September and October were incredible, but with Soto and our talented roster, we’re eager to turn it up even more. Players like Lindor, Alvarez, Nimmo, and McNeil will add to the excitement.
Q: What makes Soto stand out?
A: He’s a fantastic person and very humble. He’s fearless at the plate.
Q: Can you explain what you mean by ‘fearless’?
A: You can see it in how he approaches every pitch. Even when he strikes out, he doesn’t show disrespect. He seems to thrive under pressure.
Q: Does his style remind you of anyone?
A: Each player is unique, but he’s definitely in the conversation with the best in the game, and he’s only 26.
Q: Have you started to connect with him?
A: I’ve had some chats, but I’m looking forward to getting to know him better during spring training. I have about seven weeks to learn more before Opening Day.
Q: Do you sense a hunger in your team this year?
A: Yes! I saw it last year. This team is filled with talent, and they’re committed to winning a championship. They want to improve and keep pushing forward.
Q: How did your opening speech differ from last year?
A: The goal remains the same: to win a championship. We didn’t achieve it last year, but we’re focused and ready to work hard this season.
Q: Can Queens be a true Mets town?
A: Queens is already a Mets town! It’s a huge city with passionate fans, and I believe there’s plenty of room for both teams.
Q: What does it mean to be a gamer?
A: It’s about understanding how to win. It takes discipline, effort, and respect for the game.
Q: Do you have a lot of gamers on your roster?
A: Yes, and I’m proud of that.
Q: Is your lineup well-balanced?
A: I love our lineup. We have versatility, power, speed, and players that can hit for average. It’s a strong mix.
