Caroline Manzi Joins Kansas Jayhawks: Exciting Tennis Career Begins at the University of Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Caroline Manzi from Freehold Township, New Jersey, is set to join the Kansas Jayhawks tennis team. Head coach Todd Chapman shared the news today. Manzi will begin her freshman year in 2026-27.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Caroline to our Kansas Tennis family!” Chapman remarked. “We’ve seen her grow as a player this past year, and she’s ready to make a significant impact. Caroline has a strong drive, and we believe her best tennis is ahead of her. We can’t wait to start working with her.”

Manzi, a five-star recruit, is currently ranked No. 42 in her senior class by the Tennis Recruiting Network. She has a commendable 70 percent win rate from tournaments across both the U.S. and Canada.

Reflecting on her decision, Manzi said, “I chose Kansas because I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and what the program offers. Everyone—staff and team—was so welcoming. The campus is beautiful, and the resources here are impressive. It just felt like the best fit for me.”

Interestingly, Kansas tennis has a rich history of nurturing talent. Several former players have gone on to professional careers, showing that the program not only focuses on athletics but also on academic success and personal growth.

This fall, the Jayhawks will conclude their season at the NCAA Championships in Orlando, Florida, from November 18 to 23. The spring season kicks off in January, featuring exciting back-to-back matches against teams like Creighton, Kansas City, Nebraska, and Clemson.
