Catch the Excitement: NOLA Gold Rugby Games Now Streaming on Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network!

NEW ORLEANS – NOLA Gold Rugby Club is set to reach more fans with a new broadcast deal with Gray Media. Starting in 2025, all 16 of their home and away games will be shown on the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. This means fans in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama can catch all the action of professional rugby.

The season kicks off on February 15 at 6 p.m. with a home match against Anthem Rugby Carolina. The game will be held at the Shrine on Airline in Jefferson Parish, and it promises to be an exciting start to the season.

NOLA Gold, one of Major League Rugby’s founding teams, made history in 2024 by making the playoffs for the first time. The team aims to build on this achievement in the upcoming season.

Thierry Daupin, Chairman of NOLA Gold Rugby, expressed his excitement about the new partnership. “This is a huge step for us and for professional rugby in the U.S. Broadcasting our games on free TV makes rugby more accessible to millions of fans in the Gulf Coast. It will help grow our fan base and shows that rugby is becoming a significant sport in America,” he said.

Mikel Schaefer, Vice President and General Manager of WVUE-TV, also shared his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to showcase NOLA Gold. As a founding member of rugby in the U.S., bringing this exciting sport to the Gulf Coast is a fantastic opportunity.”

The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will be available for free in 14 TV markets, including several cities in Louisiana like Baton Rouge and Shreveport, as well as locations in Mississippi and Alabama. Fans can also watch on COX in specific areas or via streaming services like Fubo and Mediacom, ensuring that rugby lovers can enjoy the games no matter where they are.
