EBENSBURG — Central Cambria pulled off a solid win against Greater Johnstown, finishing 54-43 in their girls’ basketball game. The first and fourth quarters were crucial, as Central Cambria outscored their opponents by 14 points in those periods.

Katie George led her team with 13 points, while Alaina Long added 10. Greater Johnstown’s top scorer was Tsinger with 21 points, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the game.

Central Cambria: 16, 14, 7, 17 – 54

JV Game: Central Cambria won 63-45, led by R. Ruddek with 23 points.

BELLWOOD — Bellwood-Antis turned things around in the second half to win 55-45 against Bald Eagle Area. They were down by one at halftime but outscored Bald Eagle by 11 points in the final two quarters.

Lilly Gerwert starred with 19 points, with Leigha Clapper contributing 12.

LOYSBURG — Northern Bedford dominated Claysburg-Kimmel with a score of 55-26, led by Amberly Detterline’s 12 points. Addie Love and Alyssa Yeatts each scored 10.

Zailee Bush was the only bright spot for Claysburg-Kimmel, also finishing with 10 points.

FLINTON — Madison Peterson led Glendale to a 58-37 victory over Northern Cambria with an impressive 27 points, including six 3-pointers. Gabriella Leiden and Brielle McMillen also contributed with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Northern Cambria struggled throughout, with Fry taking the lead for her team with 12 points.
