This February, Disneyland is celebrating Black History Month with an exciting event called Celebrate Soulfully. This event showcases Southern California choirs and highlights the rich culture and music of the Black community.

The celebration runs all month long across Disneyland, Downtown Disney, and Disney hotels. One of the highlights is the Celebrate Gospel showcase at the Fantasyland Theatre, featuring talented artists and community choirs. On February 8, six-time Grammy nominee Doe will perform, followed by four-time Grammy nominee Melvin Crispell III on February 15.
Throughout February, visitors can enjoy live music at the Downtown Disney stage, with genres like R&B, Motown, and Jazz taking center stage. The Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel will feature performances by Celebrate Soulfully artists on weekends, while jazz duos will entertain guests during the week.
Additionally, the Sequin Dream a cappella group will perform in the Disneyland Hotel lobby on Fridays and Saturdays. Every Saturday evening at the Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill in Downtown Disney, there will be special live performances to honor Black History Month. In Pixar Place Hotel, the character Joe Gardner from the movie “Soul” will play smooth jazz on the piano during afternoons and evenings.
Food lovers can enjoy special menu items at various restaurants throughout the parks and hotels. Tiana’s Palace will serve a delicious Catfish Po Boy, while Troubadour Tavern will offer a Fried Chicken Bowl. At Ballast Point Brewing Co. in Downtown Disney, guests can try Jalapeño Cornbread Chicken and Waffle Sliders, and Sip & Sonder will feature a cold brew dedicated to New Orleans’ Rose Nicaud. The Broken Spell Lounge will also serve Shrimp and Grits as a bar menu highlight.
For cocktail enthusiasts, GCH Craftsman Bar and Hearthstone Lounge will mix up unique drinks like the Golden Soul and Apricot Manhattan, featuring Uncle Nearest Whiskey to honor Nearest Green, the first known African American master distiller. There’s plenty to celebrate and enjoy this February at Disneyland!
