This Holi, Indian Railways is rolling out special services to help travelers reach their destinations. A new Vande Bharat Express has been specifically launched between New Delhi and Patna to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the festive season. This train will run from March 8 to March 21, making it easier for people to visit their loved ones for the celebrations. Key stations along the route include Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, and Patliputra Junction.
Vande Bharat Express Schedule
The Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway has shared details about the Vande Bharat Express. This train features 16 coaches and will operate daily, except Mondays. It departs New Delhi at 8:30 AM and arrives in Patna at 10:30 PM the same day. For the return journey, it leaves Patna at 5:30 AM and reaches New Delhi at 8:10 PM, except on Tuesdays.
Additional Holi-Special Trains
In total, there will be 25 special trains for Holi, including 14 more to meet passenger demand. Here are a few examples:
- Delhi-Patna Superfast Express: Runs from March 7 to March 17. Leaves New Delhi at 11:35 PM, arriving in Patna at 4:40 PM the next day. The return journey departs Patna at 5:50 PM, reaching New Delhi at 10:25 AM.
- Anand Vihar-Rajgir Special: Runs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18. Departs Anand Vihar at 12:30 AM and reaches Patna at 4:15 PM, then Rajgir at 7:50 PM. The return leaves Rajgir at 11:30 PM, arriving in Anand Vihar at 7:00 PM the next day.

- New Delhi-Gaya
- Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur
- Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur
- New Delhi-Saharsa
