Celebrate Success: 16 Graduating Seniors Recognized with Prestigious University Honors Program Awards

Sixteen students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln have been celebrated for their achievements in the University Honors Program. These May graduates were chosen from over 200 Honors graduates this academic year.

Rowan Havranek from Ravenna and Hannah Scholen from Minneapolis received the Outstanding Honors Leadership Award. This award honors students who made a significant impact on the Honors Program through their leadership.

Each year, the Honors Program partners with Nebraska’s undergraduate colleges to identify an Outstanding Honors Graduate from each college. This year, eight students were recognized for their contributions to both the Honors Program and their respective colleges.

Additionally, four students were honored for exceptional leadership roles in student organizations like the Honors Ambassadors and the Honors Program Student Advisory Board.

Three students also received the Honors Resilience Award, which acknowledges those who have successfully navigated challenges during their time at Nebraska, excelling both personally and academically.
