Healthcare professionals at South Central Regional Medical Center, including hematologist Sandeep Singh and radiology director DeWayne Brown, are taking a moment to reflect on this important milestone. They highlight the remarkable progress made over the past 25 years in the fight against cancer.
Looking to the future, both experts agree that technology will be a game-changer. Singh points out the significant investment in artificial intelligence (AI) by the government, noting its potential impact on healthcare. “The funding for AI technology is exciting, especially as it applies to the medical field,” he says.
Brown echoes this sentiment, mentioning how South Central is already integrating AI into imaging equipment, enhancing diagnostic capabilities. This technological leap is something he’s seen growing over the last two decades.
