TUCSON, Ariz. — The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona celebrated 50 years in service in 2025 by reaching more people than ever before. They provided food assistance to over 190,000 individuals, a significant 16% increase from the previous year, despite facing tough challenges like federal budget cuts and a government shutdown.
In total, the food bank distributed around 38 million pounds of food, which is 3 million more than in 2024. On one remarkable day, they collected over 166,000 pounds of food. Throughout the year, food drives contributed nearly 496,396 pounds.
