Their daughter, Francesca, works on social media, and Josie’s sister, Emma, is also part of the friendly team.

These experiences forced them to adapt. “Retail has changed so much since we opened. To survive, we had to evolve,” she explains. They listened to customer feedback and embraced change. Whether it was expanding their online presence or introducing new products, their goal was to keep things fresh and surprising.
Abrahams has grown into a favorite not just among locals but also for visitors from all over the UK and even the United States. Despite its wider reach, Josie emphasizes that their roots are in Kirkby Lonsdale.
