The Indian Embassy in Cairo recently celebrated the winners of the 29th “Glimpses of India” Painting Competition. This event, in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Education, ran from November 2 to 24, 2025.
India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, H.E. Kirti Vardhan Singh, was the chief guest. He was joined by Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsin, an art education advisor, and several officials from the Ministry of Education. Together, they praised the young artists for their imagination and hard work.
Over 29,000 students from 23 Egyptian governorates participated. Their artwork depicted the rich cultures of both India and Egypt, highlighting the growing appreciation for Indian culture in Egypt. Many of the paintings showcased traditional themes and values shared between the two nations.
